General information for online registration

We are happy to invite you to participate to the Interspeech 2013 Conference.

This document is intended to provide you with all relevant information you need to proceed to registration.

Please read carefully before you enter the registration process.

Authors

At least one author of each accepted paper must be registered at the conference before the early registration deadline (June 21st, 2013), but a single registration can cover several papers. The corresponding paper ID(s) will be requested during the registration procedure. Papers without registered author(s) will be withdrawn from the program and the proceedings.

Students

Student fees are applicable only to full-time students. Students must provide a proof of their student status (student ID or certificate), certified by the signature of a supervisor, by e-mail at regist-interspeech@europa-organisation.com. Student registration will be validated upon receipt of the proof of status.

Grant holders

If you intend to apply for a grant as a student or a young scientist, please read the information on the Grant Application page before you register. Grants include a free registration which will be activated with a specific code provided to each grant holder. Do not register before you know the outcome of your grant application.

ISCA Membership

To participate to the conference, you must be an ISCA member at the time of the conference.
Please consider the following options :

  1. If you are already an ISCA member, please retrieve your membership number and status on ISCA Members List before proceeding to registration.
     
  2. If you are not already an ISCA member, please consider one of the following options
    1.  join ISCA at ISCA online registration before registration to the conference
       
    2. choose a conference registration package which includes ISCA membership (option 1 is less costly)
       
    3. members ofAFCP (Association Francophone de la Communication Parlée, ISCA SIG) can benefit from the joint AFCP/ISCA membership scheme, by renewing their AFCP membership at: AFCP Adhésion

Letter of invitation

Registered participants will receive a document confirming their registration to the conference. Upon request, the conference secretariat will issue a letter of invitation for visa application (see http://visas.europa-organisation.com/). For colleagues who need an invitation letter before registration, please follow the procedure described at http://visas.europa-organisation.com/

 The conference registration fees include:

  • A participant kit
  • The conference proceedings on a USB stick
  • A printed Abstract Book
  • Access to all official conference sessions
  • Coffee breaks Monday through Thursday
  • Admission to the Welcome Reception on Monday evening
  • Admission to the banquet on Wednesday evening
  • A ticket for the Student Reception on Tuesday evening (student registration only)

Note: Lunches are not included in any registration fees.

Terms & Conditions

Methods of Payment

Two methods of payment are available:

  1. By credit card (recommended method)
    We accept only Visa or Eurocard/Mastercard (AMEX and Diners cards are not accepted). The online system uses secure encryption to protect your card and personal details.
     
  2. By bank transfer
    The bank transfer must be made out to :

    As a proof of payment, a copy of the bank transfer must be sent by fax to the Conference Secretariat or by email to regist-interspeech@europa-organisation.com. Registration will be validated upon receipt of the proof of payment.
    Do NOT forget to indicate the first name, last name and affiliation of the participant on the bank transfer order. Bank transfer charges have to be paid by the registrant.

Once registration is validated, registrants will receive a detailed invoice and an acknowledgement letter by e-mail.

Registration by phone or by fax will not be processed.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Cancellation

All cancellations must be notified by e-mail to the Conference Secretariat. The following conditions will be applied ;

  • Before June 30, 2013: a 25% cancellation fee will be withheld for administrative fee
  • Between July 1, 2013 and July 31, 2013: a 50% cancellation fee will be withheld for administrative fee
  • After August  1, 2013: no refund

Reimbursement will be processed after the conference.

Substitution

If you are unable to attend the conference, you can request the transfer of your registration to another participant by notifying the Conference Secretariat in writing by e-mail, before the conference.

Badges

Conference identification badges are mandatory and will be required for admission to all conference functions (including social events).

Publicity Policy

Each registrant grants Interspeech 2013 the right to photograph/videotape participants and to use such photographs/videos and the names of attendees in materials which either represent the proceedings of the conference or promote future conferences.

Liability

With paid registration, the participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge claims against the conference organizers should the meeting be altered, hindered, or prevented by unexpected political or economic events, unpredictable forces of nature, speaker cancellations or other unforeseeable events.

Insurance

The organizers do not accept any responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Delegates are strongly advised to have their own travel insurance policies to cover risks including (but not limited to) loss, cancellation, medical costs and injury. Interspeech 2013 and/or the conference organizers will not accept any responsibility for any delegate failing to take out adequate insurance.
